Arteries

Them blue veins throb

Furious clash of the vessels

In the deep seas of burning blood.

The heart pumps hard

Against the ribs and walls

Trying to break free;

A free bird with pure glee.

Them arteries pump strength,

Pull from within

Under their weight.

With that gravity,

The heart shatters

To fragments of melancholy,

Drowns into nothingness.

Blue veins go black and

Arteries turn brown,

Shrink them people

Who deserve that crown.

Build with hope,

And with that, heart,

Fill with feelings,

Nurture it with love.

Let them arteries

Work their way,

The roots of life

That design our day.
